TNT has officially cancelled Perception after three seasons, Variety confirms.
The procedural, which was slated to begin the second half of its third season in February, is a victim of the network’s new leadership under Kevin Reilly.
Perception joins dramady Franklin & Bash, which was axed earlier this week, in the TNT cancellation graveyard.
Among those sill waiting to learn their fate – Sean Bean spy drama Legends and procedural Rizzoli & Isles.
It’s currently unclear whether the ABC Studios-produced Perception will be taken to other outlets. Stay tuned for potential developments…
RIP.

I am so upset about perception being cancelled, it was a different way of seeing a crime solved. I wish another station would pick it up!

I agree! All the networks have lost their MINDS! I thought TNT had their shit together! But canceling Perception was a fools mistake! I watch TNT because they at least keep GOOD shows and not all the other BS the other networks put on air! I’m so sick of reality BS and Talent shows so TNT was the network to watch! Why don’t the Exec’s listen to the viewers!!!! I actually canceled my cable because they weren’t picking up TNT! Now that’s a fan of their TV shows! Shame, Shame! Just sick over this!

Figures that someone from Fox would come in and cancel a good show.
Guess old habits are hard to break.
Andi says
TNT sucks!! Perception was awesome! Kevin Reilly doesn’t know what he’s doing.
Susan Marino says
I am so sick of seeing the shows I really like get canceled.Kevin Reilly should go back where he came from. So many good show are being canceled because the wrong age watches them. Not between 20 and 45 age group. Older people spend money too. The advertisers make me sick also….
JR Nance says
This totally sucks.
I’m betting Reilly is still getting paid by Fox.
They figure that if they can screw up other channels’ programming, get rid of those that are well written and require thought they can siphon off the viewers to Fox News as THAT channel panders to low info viewers and voters.

I agree that Kevin Reily should be cancelled for terminating such a qualitative intelligent show which is both highly entertaining and thought provoking with excellent character development.

Is Kevin Reilly sabotaging the network? Another great show gone down the tubes. What the heck?!?
Shelley says
To cancel Perception would mean that the person responsible for the cancellation has NO perception of good tv. Bring it back!!!!!!

Good one 🙂

One of the few good shows on tv. my husband and i will miss it.
T says
Love this show. Will definitely miss it. One of the best.
Kate says
another stupid decision. Probably not enough to the “right”.
Alicia Buenrostro says
Another one of the very good show gone, it seems that good taste in television is gone. They should get rid of all those reality shows that just keep all who watch brainless. Ths is one shoe that should have made it another season and even more.

I honestly think pulling this show was a huge mistake. With the exception of Falling Skies (which I do not care to watch at all) this station had the best line-up of anyone. You kept my TV on your station more than any other. You have REAL shows that make us think and keep us entertained for the most part without nightmares. Don’t try to follow the other station trends – keep to your path. Those of us who are 40 and above are the ones who will actually be home to watch TV and WE ARE THE ONES WHO CONTROL THE REMOTES IN THE HOUSE. We are also the ones who have the stable jobs and bulk of income!
Please re-think pulling Perception. It really is a great show and offers much more value than the Falling Skies (which I hated by the way). Bringing it back will keep loyal viewers before we start looking for shows to watch elsewhere.
Cynthia Weiser says
Like anything else, quality shows are cancelled because the networks have to cater to the ‘mass mind,’ which we all know are equivalent to the Beverly Hillbillies! Give ’em crap, they’ll eat it!
There is obviously no hope to those of us who have any smarts at all!!!

I binge watched “Perception” I didn’t even know it existed. I was so happy I love this actor and the show was just the best. I learned so much. I love the show. I googled the show and I saw cancelled couldn’t believe it. Please continue the show. I was looking forward to seeing what new ventures were going to happen. This is so sad.
Jo Thomas says
Don’t know Kevin, but he’s not listening to his followers. Perception is a great show. It’s definitely worth the effort to rethink cancelling.
